Dr. Ira Bernstein, MD, CCFP
Dr. Bernstein is a family physician who has been providing full-service primary medical care (including newborn care and the continuum of life care) for more than 30 years from his Toronto office. Dr. Bernstein is the Medical Advisor for Metabolic Balance and teaches undergraduate medical students.
Dr. Stuart M. McGill, CM, PhD
Dr. McGill is a world-renowned professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo, where he has worked for over 33 years. He and his team have become worldwide leading experts in understanding back pain mechanisms and developing clinical assessment techniques that have revolutionized the industry. He is on editorial boards of several medical research journals and was the Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at Waterloo from 2003-2009. He has published multiple textbooks, hundreds of research papers and has received too many international awards to list.
Dr. Christine Palmay, MD, CPSO
Dr. Palmay currently manages a busy family medical practice in midtown Toronto. Her passion lies in providing comprehensive medical care with a focus on preventative medicine and women’s health. She was listed as NOW Magazine’s Best Doctor in 2013 and 2014 and continues to be a steady presence in media and public education. Dr. Palmay was also the recipient of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada’s 2016 Reproductive Health Award.
Dr. David Koivuranta, MD, CCFP, FCFP
Dr. Koivuranta is a Toronto chiropractor who owns and operates the Toronto Neck and Back Pain Clinic and Time Health Management—a corporate health strategy company that focuses on ergonomics and employee engagement through human factors.
Dr. Hilary Kwan, DC
Dr. Kwan has worked as a chiropractor for the last 9 years in Toronto. Her practice includes treating acute, repetitive and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as treatment to professional athletes. Dr. Kwan has also received additional training in prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care as well as an acupuncture certification.
Dr. Lucy Lyons, MD
Dr. Lyons is a Vancouver-based physician, neuroscientist and therapist. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she is a member of The Institute for Functional Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She is also a member of the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and is Co-Chair of the Vancouver Coastal Health Physician Wellness Committee.
Dr. Ted Jablonski MD, CCFP, FCFP
Dr. Jablonski is an award-winning family physician based in Calgary. In addition to family medicine, he has been medical director of Jablonski Health at Peak Medical Group Montgomery for over a decade, performing consultant work in sexual and transgender medicine for Southern Alberta.
Dr. Mike Stewart, DC, CCSP, CKTP, ICCSP
Dr. Stewart is a Calgary chiropractor who focuses on everyday aches and pains resulting from “sit-stand-sleep” postural imbalances. He splits his working hours between Core Health Centre and Active Back to Health Centre at the Chinook Centre. He has also used his skills to lead medical-based mission teams to Guatemala and Malawi.
Dr. Zain Bheriani, MD, LMCC, CCFP
Dr. Bheriani is a reputable family doctor based in Calgary. She has lived in Thailand, Italy, New Zealand, the United States, and the Caribbean, and has done relief work in Papua New Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, India, Laos, and South America. This has given her an understanding of cultural intricacies and a love for International Aid.
Dr. Nathaniel Janzen, NP, PA
Dr. Janzen is a lifelong athlete and healthcare practitioner, specializing in the body’s musculoskeletal system. Listed as a preferred provider with Pain BC, he helps those with chronic pain, sports injuries, acute flare-ups, and general wellness care. Outside of chiropractic, Dr. Janzen has taught anatomy and pathology courses at Vancouver Career College’s RMT program.
