Do you work in front of a desk all day?
A poor ergonomic setup for your workstation is bad news! It can lead to increased tension in your body, and an increased risk to work-related injuries caused by strains and overuse. The good news is that we have 4 easy tips to get your workstation setup right. Watch the video to learn more!
How to setup your workstation:
Step 1: Adjust the height of your chair, so that when your arms are at the height of your desk when elbows are bent to 90 degrees. If your feet are not touching the floor with this height, add a foot rest to prevent your feet from dangling.

Step 2: Adjust the height of the monitor, so that the center to the top of your screen is at your eye level, and is at approximately arm’s reach distance.

Step 3: You don’t want to reach, and strain your shoulder and arms. Bring your keyboard, and mouse closer to you, so that they are where your hands are when your elbows are bent to 90 degrees. If you use a phone frequently, then use a headset to prevent cradling your neck to hold a receiver.

Step 4: The 90/60/20 rule - While sitting, keep your knees and elbow at about 90 degrees; every 60 minutes take a 60 second break to stand up, and walk around to prevent stiffness; and, every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break to stare at something in the distance to prevent eye strain.
