DR-HO’S Launches New Circulation Promoter

March 19, 2014 in News & Products

DR-HO'S TENS Buyers Guide

Markham, ON, March 19, 2014 – DR-HO’S Circulation Promoter will officially be available in Canada in March 2014. This means that sufferers of diabetic neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, sciatic nerve pain and more can look forward to a new means to relieve their feet-related pain without the use of prescription drugs. Unveiled on The Shopping Channel in early January, the Circulation Promoter sold out within a few hours and will be made available online once again in March.

The Circulation Promoter is powered by DR-HO’S Pain Therapy System, a registered medical device (Health Canada Medical Device #83410) that is clinically tested to improve circulation, relieve pain, reduce muscle tension and spasms, and increase tissue oxygenation. It does not require any external power source, ensuring that the Circulation Promoter can remain portable for convenience.

The Circulation Promoter will also come with small and large self-adhesive massage pads, allowing users to treat other areas of the body and relieve symptoms associated with back pain, neck pain, headaches, muscle tension, joint pain, work and sport related injuries, arthritis, sciatica and more. The entire package will sell for $200.

The complete system combines Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (T.E.N.S) and Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to help stimulate the nerves and muscles in the soles of the feet. By promoting gentle muscle contractions to help pump blood through the feet and up through the legs, the Circulation Promoter will help to improve blood circulation to reduce swelling around the ankles. It will also help to target and stimulate the reflexology points along the feet. The foot pads are set on a base so they can maintain good contact to the soles of the feet, allowing users to benefit from treatment no matter where they are. The foot pads are also divided into sections to better target different areas in the soles of the feet, with DR-HO’S super-conductive pads in the heel and arch areas to provide more consistent, comfortable, and soothing stimulation.

“The Circulation Promoter is designed to help improve circulation, reduce swelling, alleviate aching feet and legs, and relieve pain, tension, and stiffness,” says Dr. Michael Ho, pain specialist and founder of DR-HO’S Health & Wellness (https://www.DrHoNow.com/en_ca).

With a passion for enabling his patients to treat the root causes of their pain in the comfort of their own homes, Dr.  Ho launched his first product nearly 20 years ago. Since then, he has created many other health and wellness products, including a 2-in-1 Decompression Back Relief Belt that is approved under Medicare in the United States.

“My new Circulation Promoter is designed with targeted, super-conductive pads in the heel and arch areas of the feet to specifically target symptoms associated with diabetic neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, numbness and more. It will help to improve circulation in the feet and legs and enable users to get back to doing the things they love, and live their lives without limitations,” says Dr. Ho. “Best of all, they can utilize this treatment whenever they need it, in the comfort of their own home, or even on the go.”

For more information on DR-HO'S Circulation Promoter, call toll free 1-877-374-6669, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm EST, or visit www.CirculationPromoter.com.

      Hi Seaneen,

The Circulation Promoter is powered by a T.E.N.S device, so if your mother's doctors do not recommend that she use a T.E.N.S machine, then we would suggest that she follow the doctors' advice, as they would best understand her condition.

      Kind regards,

      November 16, 2015 at 2:55 pm
      Hi Eric,
Unfortunately, the Circulation Promoter is not available in the US at this time. However, you can take a look at our Pain Therapy System Pro here. It does not have the base for the feet, but the gel pads can still be used on the feet, ankles, calves and other areas of the body.
      Kind regards,

Dr. Ho I have venous insufficiency. Will Pain Therapy Circulation Promoter help me? I am wearing compression stockings to improve blood circulation
    • DR-HO'S

      December 29, 2015 at 9:59 am
      Hi Celia,

You can certainly use the Circulation Promoter to help improve the circulation of your legs. We do recommend that you use the base, as the unit is strong enough that many customers can feel the stimulation up past their knees.

If you are looking to treat specific areas using the gel pads that are a part of the kit, in case you may have varicose veins, please avoid placing the pads directly on the veins. You can treat other areas which will still stimulate the entire muscle group.

Should you have further questions specifically related to your condition and the use of T.E.N.S treatment, we always recommend that you check with your doctor as they would best know your condition.

Thank you! Wishing you a Happy New Year!

      Kind regards,
      DR-HO'S

      Hi Dandy,

Because your own doctor knows your condition better I would recommend that you speak to your doctor first and let him or her know that you would like to use a T.E.N.S. device to help relieve your pain from your tendonitis.

      • DR-HO'S

        March 14, 2016 at 3:26 pm
        Hi Dandy,

From your comment I understand that you're already using a T.E.N.S. device. The Circulation Promoter is a T.E.N.S. but includes our proprietary Auto-Modulating Wave technology. Our T.E.N.S. devices will randomly change the stimulation that you experience so that your body will never get used to the stimulation. This is much better for you because this means that you can use the Circulation Promoter on a daily basis to help you manage your pain more effectively. If you are already using a T.E.N.S device under your doctors supervision then you will also be allowed to use the Circulation Promoter as well. We've have many customers who've been able to treat their tendonitis and experience less pain and inflammation over time. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with tarsal tunnel syndrome. I just got an EMG due to numbness, cramping and pain in my feet that confirms that I have tarsal tunnel syndrome. Will this device heal my nerve damage?

I started feeling the numbness about five months ago and trying to find a solution to my problem.

      February 29, 2016 at 11:51 am
      Hi Marc,

I suggest that you try the Circulation Promoter. Your condition is mainly caused by the compression of the tibial nerve as it travels through the tarsal tunnel. The stimulation from the Circulation Promoter and can help to reduce tension within that are which will allow for less compression on the tibial nerve and will also allow for improved circulation within your legs. Give it a try and let us know how you're doing.

      Hi Jerick,

The Circulation Promoter and our Decompression Belt can help you with this. Click the link below for more information on the belt but keep in mind that both products help by providing different types of therapy. The Circulation Promoter will provide electrical stimulation to relax the muscle and take pressure off the disc while the Decompression Belt will provide traction to help in creating some space between the vertebrae and disc.

Dr. Ho, we already purchase a circulation promoter for my fayher who has a neuropathy. But when we tried the product in his feet, he felt nothing even the level is 5. But when we apply the pads to the other parts of the body it works. Will we still continue using the foot pad even my dad feels nothing?
    • DR-HO'S

      March 21, 2016 at 9:50 am
      Hi Christine,

That's a great question! Many times with people that suffer from neuropathy in the feet they may find that they are not feeling any stimulation. This is because the nerves need to be "woken up" and this can take time but it doesn't mean that it's not working. I would suggest to keep using the Circulation Promoter on his feet at least 3 times a day for at least 40 minutes each time. If he has the time to use it longer then he should do so. He will eventually start to feel the stimulation. If you have any other questions and require an immediate response or troubleshooting then please call our customer care centre at 1.877.374.6669. Please keep us posted in his results.

Hi I just bought the machine and started using it today just wondering if is normal to have strong tingling after treatment I'm am using on my feet for diabetic reasons
    • DR-HO'S

      March 28, 2016 at 5:13 pm
Hi Ed! For people that suffer from diabetic neuropathy or poor circulation it can be very common for them to experience a tingling sensation after treatment. This sensation may differ in length of time from person to person as everyone's body is different. However, this is a sign of the stimulation waking up the nerves in the feet and improving circulation. As you continue to use the Circulation Promoter on a regular basis the tingling sensation after treatment should decrease depending on the severity of neuropathy that you may have. I'm glad to hear that you've started using the Circulation Promoter so please keep us posted on how you're doing. If you have any other questions please feel free to call us toll free at 1.877.374.6669.

Hello, I live on a disability pension in Ontario. Do you know if ODSP will pay for this?

      Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, we do not work directly with ODSP or any insurance companies. However, you should give them a call and ask them if they cover T.E.N.S. devices. If so, then there should be no issue in covering the Circulation Promoter.

    Hello Dr Ho..
My Dad is 82 and he has lymphodema...will the circulation prromoter help the feet to be less swollen?

      Hi Nahid,

The Circulation Promoter can help with symptoms of Lymphodema but it would would have to be used on a regular basis. You should also try to use compression stockings and socks as these can improve the flow of the lymph fluid out of the affected area. It would also be a good idea to consult your doctor before using any new method of treatment to treat Lymphodema.

Hello Dr. Ho. Just purchased ur device on shop tv here in the phils, and im wondering if where can i buy additional accessories like gel pads here in the phils. And in your instructional dvd, i saw 4 gel pads connected to the device wheb using two in the shoulders and 2 on the neck. How can i put two wires at same time when mine has only 1 ouput. Thanks and God Bless to you and your family.

      Hi Junley,
You can purchase the replacement pads via ShopTV by calling them at 02-817 7000. The Circulation Promoter you have only has the 1 port so for this unit you will not be able to plug in 2 wires to use 4 gel pads at the same time. However, you can treat the two areas separately and achieve the same results.

As I am typing this note, my pain level is at 5 out of 10, started at 7 in the morning today. I took three sessions of 10 minutes at 2.5 setting in Mode A. I still have pain in my right foot sole under heels, can walk with some difficulty. My son, a doctor of medicine advised me to take ADVI. Before this step I tried three applications of Pensaid, just decreased but not a complete pain reduction ,because I am still having pain. I used your Circulation Promoter with foot massage. At this stage, I have questions?

      Hi Vaidy,
We usually recommend treatments of 20 minutes at a time. You can certainly try extending each of your treatments. If you have pain while walking, you can try our Anti Pressure insoles, which can help to reduce impact of heel strike.

      Hi Allison,

Sorry for the late response! I'm sorry to hear about your condition and hope that you have a quick and speedy recovery. When it comes to using a TENS machine for cancer patients we recommend that you consult your primary care doctor first. They know your condition the best and can advise whether it would be okay for you to use it to treat pain.

      Wishing you all the best!

    Hi Dr. Ho,

I have lymphedema in my right leg. Will the circulation promoter help with circulation of lymphatic fluid in my leg?

Will it help reduce the swelling and relieve me of the tight heavy feeling?

    Thank You,
    Gil

      August 30, 2016 at 11:23 am
      Hi Gil,

Yes, you can use the Circulation Promoter to help with the circulation of the lymphatic fluid in your leg. It may work even better if you were to use the large pads and place them on either side of your calf muscle. Because this muscle is so large it will help to improve the circulation from the feet a lot better. Also, by stimulating your feet and muscles in your leg it will help to reduce the swelling that you experience. It's suggested that you use the Circulation Promoter a minimum of 2 to 3 times per day for at least 20 minutes each time.

      Best of health and happiness!
