How the belt works

Developed by back pain specialist Dr. Michael Ho, the 2-in-1 Back Relief Decompression Belt is unlike any other support or back pain belt on the market. The DR‑HO’S belt is different because it provides both clinical grade traction therapy and decompression therapy.

The belt simply wraps around your waist and is then inflated using the hand pump that comes with the belt. As the belt inflates, it expands vertically, gently stretching and supporting the lower back.

The gentle traction helps decompress the spinal discs while stretching and relaxing tight muscles to help relieve back pain. Since the belt fills only with air, it is very light and can easily be worn above or underneath clothing.

Decompression Belt features

  1. Rigid Anterior & Posterior Panels
Detachable panels help support lumbar spine during flexion and extension movements.
  2. Adjustable & Lightweight Structure
A Velcro strap allows for adjustments to variable sizes. The lightweight belt is discreet under clothing.
  3. Soft to Rigid Inflatable Interior Tubes
Soft interior tubes inflate with air to expand and provide vertical traction. Once fully inflated, the tubes provide rigid support.
  4. Expands vertically (4.5” to 7.5”)
Provides traction for relief from back pain & stiffness.
  5. Travel size hand pump
This portable pump allows for easy inflation of the belt. An air release valve protects the belt from over-inflation.

Decompression Belt expansion mechanism

Inflation of the Decompression Belt causes the belt to expand vertically up to 7.5”. The top of the belt anchors underneath the ribcage to push upward while the bottom of the belt puts gentle downward pressure on the pelvic crest.

Together, this vertically stretches the torso to help decompress and traction the lumbar spine, and increase the intervertebral disc space. Upon inflation, the belt transforms into a rigid lumbar support belt that also helps support the lumbar spine.
